Day 1   MEXICO-PUEBLA-OAXACA

Departure to Puebla de los Angeles visiting Santa Maria Tonantzintla, with its beautifully decorated temple by indigenous hands. Arriving at Puebla visit: the Chapel of the Rosary, the Cathedral, the Plaza Mayor and the historic center. Departure to Oaxaca.

Day 2   OAXACA-MONTEALBAN-MITLA-TULE

In the morning visit to Monte Alban archaeological site built on a mountain, where we find manifestations of cultures Olmecs, Zapotecs and Mixtecs: the Great Plaza, the Observatory, Tomb No. 7, the Stones of the Dancers. In the afternoon we will Mitla, the City of the Dead, important site of beautiful decoration based on symbolic mosaics. We will see the Tule Tree, perhaps the biggest living beings in the world. Oaxaca and visit its beautiful city, including the Cathedral, the magnificent Temple of Santo Domingo and Gold Museum.

Day 3   OAXACA-SUMIDERO-SAN CRISTOBAL

Departure early to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of Chiapas. We enjoy the scenery offered by the terrain and the flora of the Sierra. Boat ride by Sumidero Canyon, which has about a thousand meters high at its peak. If time permits, we can enjoy the Ecoparque Gully. We will pass by Chiapa de Corzo, en route to San Cristobal.

Day 4   SAN CRITOBAL-INDIGENOUS VILLAGES

Visit San Juan Chamula and Zinacantlán, typical indigenous people who keep their traditions and religious beliefs and social organization. The church, shelter and clothing are very picturesque. Free afternoon. We suggest visiting the Mercado Santo Domingo, the Cathedral, the Jade Museum where the tomb of King Pakal and walk around this beautiful city.

Day 5   SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS-AGUA AZUL-PALENQUE

Continue to Agua Azul waterfalls, beautiful turquoise hues. Possibility of swimming. If time allows we will make a short stop at Misol – Ha, natural waterfall, and continue to Palenque.

Day 6   PALENQUE-VILLAHERMOSA-MEXICO

Visit the archaeological site of Palenque, surrounded by jungle. One of the most important Mayan, both historical findings and its beauty. Inside the Pyramid of Inscriptions sarcophagus of King Pakal with a plaque embossed found . Foliada Temple of the Cross , Temple of the Sun and the Palace . Transfer to Villahermosa airport to take the flight to Mexico City . Flight ticket not included.
