Quito was founded in 1534 by the Spaniards and is currently considered one of the most beautiful capitals of the continent. Churches predominate, the most spectacular being La Compañía with its gold leaf interiors; San Francisco with its mixture of architectural styles and distinct native influence.Quito is not only a Spanish colonial city. Modern Quito has an active commercial and business life.We start our tour with a stop to admire one of the residential areas. From there we go to see the most interesting places of the city passing by the Legislative Palace to admire the country’s historical stone murals, continuing to Independence Plaza, the town’s oldest colonial center, bordered by the Cathedral, Goverment Palace and Archbishop’s Palace , La Compañía church with its gold covered interior and the San Francisco church with its indian flavor, And finally drive up to the Panecillo Hill that offers a panoramic view of the city narrow streets, spanish balconies, colorful patios, busy squares and the surrounding Andean mountains.
