ITINERARY DAY BY DAY
Day 1: Airport – Mexico DF.
Arrival in Mexico City. Reception from our staff to transfer to l Hotel where we stay and then take a City tour. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 2: Basilica of Guadalupe Teotihuacan Pyramids Mexico
Breakfast. We take the bus to take us to the Basilica of Guadalupe where we will visit the Atrium or Plaza de las Americas, where you can admire the most venerated religious image of Mexico, patroness of the Americas, and that gives rise to multiple manifestations of religious fervor by of believers. Later they will be conducted by 1 hour at Teotihuacán, arriving at the facilities of a craft center where it will be offered an explanation of the uses of maguey, in addition to areas to buy handicrafts made in the region. Immediately they will be moved inside the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, where they will have an explanation of the Pyramid of the Moon, its square and temples “Quetzal-papalotl” (bird-butterfly) and the feathered snails. They may go the way of pedestrian Avenue of the Dead to the Sun Pyramid. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 3: Mexico – Tlaxcala, Puebla and Atlixco – Mexico
Breakfast. We board the bus that will lead us to Tlaxcala considered as the cradle of the nation, which began the military conquest and later the spiritual conquest supported by the 400 families who colonized the north. We continue to Atlixco a small and friendly with “the best climate in the world” city. Atlixco is a highly recognized nationally and internationally for its variety and quality of ornamental and fruit trees farmer, as well as plants and flowers for the garden or decoration. Nurseries in the area, you will find a place full of color and aroma paradise presented in harmony to delight residents and visitors to the city. We will continue our journey bound for the city of Puebla, which will surprise you with the remains of an old pre-Hispanic pyramid that after the Conquest, served as sustenance for the Temple Los Remedios. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 4: Cuernavaca and Cuautla
Breakfast. Departure to Cuernavaca. Known as “The City of Eternal Spring”, Cuernavaca, Morelos, is the favorite of many city dwellers because of its proximity to the Federal District, the tranquility in each of its corners destination and, of course, the pleasant temperature featuring warm most of the year. Just 85 kilometers from Mexico City, the Morelos capital has been adopted as a place of recreation and rest for almost all who have known, from Aztec emperors and conquerors, to princes and artists. Its landscape endowed with colors and scents corresponds to blooms of bougainvillea, jacaranda, African tulips, lilies, jasmine, tabachines and daisies. We continue to the heroic and historic Cuautla, so named because it was the scene of several wars, including the independence of Mexico. Return to hotel and accommodation in Mexico.
Day 5: Queretaro – San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast. Departure to the city of Queretaro, considered the cradle of the independence of Mexico. We will visit this beautiful city. Later we will go to San Miguel de Allende where we have free time to walk around this beautiful place. Accommodation in San Miguel Allende.
Day 6: San Miguel de Allende – Guanajuato
Breakfast. We get ready to board the bus and take a City tour of San Miguel, knowing the most emblematic places before heading toward Guanajuato where we stay. Free time.
Day 7: Guanajuato – Zacatecas. Breakfast
City Tour through the streets of Guanajuato and know the most emblematic of this city museums. Then our walk through the streets of Guanajuato board the bus that will lead us to Zacatecas. The capital of Zacatecas, “a city with stone face and silver heart” reigns over the plains swept by the wind. This legendary city is located platera four and half hours north of Guanajuato, and offers a real tour of the national history. With an altitude of 2.460 meters is the second highest city in the country. Zacatecas literally leave you breathless. Its architectural interest lies in its rich religious and civil buildings, which highlights its cathedral built between 1730 and 1760, it dominates the panorama of the historic center. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 8: Zacatecas – Morelia
Breakfast. We board the bus that will lead us to Morelia not before giving us a City Tour around the city and appreciating its majestic view from the top of the cable car. Arrival to the city of Morelia, free time. Accommodation in Morelia
Day 9: Morelia. Breakfast
Departure to Patzcuaro, a city in the Mexican state of Michoacan and head of the municipality of the same name. In ancient times it was the land of the Indians who are nominating themselves Purepecha, also known as tarascos. Patzcuaro is categorized by the Ministry of Tourism as one of the Magical Towns. Its main subjects or holdings are Cuanajo, Tzurumútaro, Janitzio and San Juan Tumbio. Later we will go to Janitzio is one of the islands of Lake Patzcuaro. At the top of Janitzio, which means flower Purepecha wheat or corn, there is a monument of the national hero of the revolution of independence, Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon. This monument contains within it a collection of paintings depicting the biography of the Mexican hero. In the structure of the monument fist we find a viewpoint from where you can admire all around the island as well as a large proportion of Lake Patzcuaro. Back to the hotel.
Day 10: Breakfast Morelia
We prepare our luggage to head back to the Federal District, where we stay.
Day 11: Breakfast Mexico
Day off. accommodation
Day 12: Mexico – Return Flight
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for our flight back home.
